Friday, May. 01 Social distancing measures eased in most of Iowa - Social distancing measures loosened in 77 of Iowa's 99 counties, with restaurants, fitness centers, mall, libraries, racetracks, and certain other retail establishments allowed to reopen in a limited fashion with public health measures in place to try and contain the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19). The proclamation, signed by Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds on 27 Apr, also lifts the restriction on religious and spiritual gatherings so long as churches and other gathering hosts implement reasonable public health measures, and encourages all vulnerable Iowans, including those with preexisting medical conditions and those older than 65 in all counties, to continue to limit their activities outside of their home * Other restrictions in the state remain in place through at least 15 May, with the State Public Health Emergency Declaration in place through at least 27 May
