Wapello County leaders announced another death from COVID-19

OTTUMWA, Iowa (KYOU) - Wapello County leaders announced another death related to COVID-19. Due to privacy reasons,

county leaders are not able to release much information about the person who passed away other than they were between the

ages of 61 and 80 and were receiving medical care.

At last check on the website www.wapelloready.org there were 388 positive cases of COVID-19. 119 people have recovered.

These numbers could change later today.

County leaders remind residents to follow the recommendations of Iowa Department of Public Health to protect one another

and those who are most vulnerable.

They ask you continue to use social distance and wear a mask if you have one. If you are sick, call your healthcare provider for

instruction. If you have tested positive, follow instructions and stay home until you are released by the county health

department.

They want to remind all residents to go www.testiowa.com and take the assessment to determine if you need to be tested for COVID-19.
