Local couple starts Pay It Forward Station in Ottumwa
OTTUMWA, Iowa (KYOU) - One local couple is making a difference right here in Ottumwa.
Right on the corner of West Second and Manerva Street is a Pay It Forward Station started by one couple looking to make a difference.
Nancy Stromgren and her husband Dave says that it all started with the little free library and quickly grew to much more.
Now, the Pay It Forward Station is full of clothes, toys, and other household items.
“They can donate, we just ask that you keep an eye on the weather. If it’s going to get nasty don’t bring a bunch of stuff. But, try to organize it too. Like, if there’s a lot of things if you could put them in bags. And label the bags but, everybody is welcome. It’s for anyone that needs something,” Stromgren explained.
She also added that the station is first come, first serve and they never hold or save items for people.
