Indian Hills Community College Test Iowa Site Has Successful Two Weeks
17 Total Tests with 1 Positive Result So Far
OTTUMWA, Iowa (KYOU) - Indian Hills Community’s College Test Iowa site has gone live. The site, while exclusive for the college, is set up so students and faculty showing symptoms can have immediate access to a testing site.
The college is working with All Ages Pediatrics and Wapello County Public Health. So far, the college has administered 17 tests with 1 positive result. In the case a student tests positive, they must quarantine while the college and Public Health run contact tracing on fellow classmates.
Indian Hills' President Dr. Matthew Thompson praises the site as convinent for students and faculty: “to be able to come here right off the bat in the morning, and to be able to be tested, it’s a real value for our students and makes it real easy to access.”
The site has opened for the last two weeks from 8 to 9 am in the morning, but will be moving up two hours later to potentially see more traffic and to be more accessible for students.
