JBS USA to make a $3.1 million investment in Ottumwa
OTTUMWA, Iowa (KYOU) -Ottumwa could see over a $3 million investment from JBS USA and Plumrose USA.
The company announced plans to invest the money and has been working with local leaders to find out where the money should be spent.
KYOU spoke with the company’s communication director on the initiative Nikki Richardson.
“So we have three priorities areas to guide our investment and they include alleviating food insecurity, strengthening community infrastructure and supporting covid 19 response and recovery efforts, but as you noticed we recognized each community needs are different and that’s why we’re working closely with local leaders to identify how best to invest those funds in each area,” says Richardson.
She says the projects could be determined by the end of the year.
