OTTUMWA, Iowa (KYOU) - The Iowa-Missouri Ford Club presented Indian Hills Community College’s Diesel Tech Club with a check Tuesday as thanks for support over the years.

The Ford Club sets up the Midwest Ford Fest, where Ford drivers and enthusiasts from the area bring their cars to Ottumwa. This August’s Fest brought in around 150 cars from all eras, and the club says the event raised around $40,000 for the city.

Cherielynn Westrich, who presented the check to the college, says Indian Hills has been a huge support for the show. “Indian Hills' guys come through at the end of the show, tearing down the show, setting up the show, every year...they just volunteer to do everything. Without Indian Hills College, we really would have a tough time putting on the show.”

The Iowa-Missouri Ford Club plans to put on the 35th Annual Midwest Ford Fest on the third weekend of August in 2021.
