OTTUMWA, Iowa (KYOU) - Like it or not, colder air has arrived, along with some precipitation this morning.

The area with the greatest impacts from that this morning will be in our Iowa counties, where a few folks may even see some snowflakes mix in. Accumulation is not expected. Temperatures gradually reach the mid 40s this afternoon (we hit our highs at midnight this morning, technically!).

Colder air sticks around for Monday, but a gradual warmup toward a return to 70s by Thursday will take place. Shower chances exist Tuesday and Wednesday, with a chance for a few storms on Thursday before a cold front moves through. That sends our temperatures back to the 40s and 50s for next weekend. Enjoy the rollercoaster ride this week!
