Ottumwa students plant trees at their schools

OTTUMWA, Iowa (KYOU) -Students across the Ottumwa School District planted trees on Friday, October 16th as part of a Trees Forever initiative.

The non-profit works with Alliant Energy to provide funds for the school district.

These students are from James Elementary, but three other schools in the district also planted trees with help from district maintenance workers.

A total of 25 trees were planted on Friday by the students.
