OTTUMWA, Iowa (KYOU) - It’s the third week Fuel Friend-sy, Indian Hills against Ottumwa Schools, competing for their respective gas pumps to raise money.

Last week, Indian Hills evened the score to 1-1 in a wing eating competition, and this week, the schools faced off in a sack race.

Four Ottumwa coaches and four of Indian Hills at Schafer Stadium. Indian Hills secured a decisive victory, making the score two to one, Indian Hills.

Blaire Siems, Indian Hills' Executive Director of Foundation and Development, who’s running the Fuel Friend-sy, explains why the schools are putting on events like these.

“Ultimately we kinda wanted something fun that took our minds off of everything else going on right now and friendly competition between Indian Hills and Ottumwa schools seemed like the thing to do.”

Fuel Friend-sy continues through October, then one school will claim victory.
