Jefferson County receives Covid-19 vaccination funding
OTTUMWA, Iowa (KYOU) - Last week the county received $136,000 in funding and it is now up to the board of supervisors to make this decision on how it is to be used.
The funding must be used for a covid related expense and Supervisor Dee Sandquist says there will be checks and a balancing system in place to track all funding.
“I talked with Shannon in the auditor’s office and she’s going to put a special line item per project passed related to covid in our budget so we can track this. We need to be able to track it at some point if the state comes in and says hey how’d you spend that money.”
This funding allows them to stay within the two percent budget as planned.
