Original story: Wapello County Public Health is geared up and ready for the next phase of COVID vaccine administration.

Iowa Governor Reynolds has announced on Monday, April 5th, all restrictions on vaccine access will be lifted since vaccines are now becoming more plentiful.

This will make access to vaccines easier for everyone wanting to be vaccinated at any of our local vaccine providers.

Wapello County Public Health currently has Moderna vaccine and can administer to anyone 18 or older.

Wapello County Public Health will be hosting a community clinic on Saturday, April 10th at Evans Middle School.

The clinic will run from 9a until 500 doses are gone.

The April 8th vaccine recipients will also need to keep Saturday, May 8th open for the follow-up clinic to receive the booster dose.

The Moderna vaccine is a two-dose series. Both doses need to be taken to receive the full benefit of the vaccine.
