The Fairfield Arts and Convention Center brings back an Artist Series this Fall
FAIRFIELD, Iowa (KYOU) - The Artist Series is an annual package of big shows lined up for the whole year at the Fairfield Arts and Convention Center. Assistant Director, Mendy McAdams, says it’s coming back after being on pause for almost a year due to the pandemic.
“We closed our doors for almost a year, we furloughed our whole staff so to get to come back and to get to reward our friends with an artist series with most of the things that they’re used to we feel like this is their reward.”
McAdams says this year’s scheduling will only have 13 shows compared to the previous year of 23 due to a few changes made after covid.
“With a new executive director, with minimal staff, with covid precautions, with all of that we just felt like we just have to do what’s best for us, and that’s going to be a 13 show season.”
She says you can expect to see things like a Russian ballet, holographic concerts, and an I love Lucy play.
“We’re going to have some country shows, we’re going to have some kids shows, and just a variety of things. We put together a really good package that has something for everybody.”
You can expect to see the lineup of shows this fall in September. For more information about upcoming performances and dates visit their website at FairfieldACC.com
