Rain ends this morning, then a little sun appears
OTTUMWA, Iowa (KYOU) - Whatever leftover rain we have this morning will be on the way out fairly early, replaced by mostly dry conditions through most of the day. Some sun could be seen by this afternoon as well, though temperatures will stay cool for Mother’s Day in the upper 50s and a few low 60s.
Some scattered showers are possible on Monday afternoon as well, as early-day sunshine builds up a little instability with colder air in the upper atmosphere. Highs will be similar to Sunday, then a more coherent warming trend begins toward the end of the week.
Eventually, moisture arrives with that warmer air, bringing back chances for showers and storms by the weekend.
