OTTUMWA, Iowa (KYOU) - The aftermath of a cyberattack on JBS has impacted local production and shifts.

JBS discovered Sunday some North American servers were affected by an organized cyberattack. Ottumwa’s local plant paused shifts on bacon and the kill floor Tuesday, June 1st.

The local JBS Facebook page says it’s continuing to work through IT issues and will pause several shifts Wednesday as well.

Ottumwa’s United Food and Commercial Workers Union says for the moment, they’re playing things by ear.

They haven’t heard when things will be up and running.

KYOU reached out to JBS for comment, but the company did not respond.
