FAIRFIELD, Iowa (KYOU) - I.G.N.Y.T.E. Iowa is an organization created to promote peace, social justice, and unity through art and musical expression.

Gretchen Jentz, who is the founder of the organization, says her religion is what gave her inspiration.

“I’m a member of the Baha’i Faith and we have this conviction that youth can really move the world when they’re guided and told how incredible and what great capacity they have.”

Jentz says now she has a program called the Junior Youth Spiritual Empowerment Program that will kick off this summer.

“It’s to empower 11 to 14 years olds to become agents of change in their community.”

The youth will be expected to learn from the curriculum provided by the organization and takes place in the Yoga Mind and Body Studio located in Downtown Fairfield near the square.

She adds that she has programs for any age, not just the youth. If you’re interested in joining visit her website at
