FAIRFIELD, Iowa (KYOU) - The Nady Prairie park, located along North B Street in Fairfield, has recently opened to the public.

Along the trail is 4,000 feet of mowed walking trails, educational signs, benches, and a beautiful view of Lake Pleasant.

The park got its name from the Nady family that has donated 48 acres of tallgrass prairie and ponds to the city.

A plaque of the original owner Robert Nady, who was a sergeant in World War II can be seen along the trail as well.
