OTTUMWA, Iowa (KYOU) - Summer means fair season in Iowa, and Tuesday night, the Davis County fair wrapped up its first day.

The fair had a busy first day: auctions, a dog agility show, and of course the Fair Queen Contest held at the Livestock Pavilion.

There were a ton of people on the first day of the fair, coming out for the attractions and events throughout the week.

Other attractions throughout the week are a tractor show, a playground area, and of course, the carnival. It’ll go every night until 11 p.m.

You can find a full list of the week’s schedule on the Davis County Fair’s Facebook page.

All these events continue throughout Saturday - the last official day of the fair, ending with an 8 pm concert tribute to Lynyrd Skynyrd by band FREEBIRD USA.
