Xavior’s mother puts out plea ahead of vigil
MONTEZUMA, Iowa (KYOU) -
Sarah Harrelson, Xavior’s mother, is putting out a plea to help bring her son home. She said in a statement to KYOU, “I just want everyone to keep looking for Xavior. Thank you to everyone who has been involved this far. Please attend the prayer vigil to help bring him home.”
A group known as “Xavior’s Warrior’s” in Montezuma is planning a “Light his way home” prayer vigil for Sunday to support Xavior Harrelson’s friends and family and members of the community.
Sunday’s vigil will take place at 3 p.m. at the Montezuma football field. Organizers are asking people to come wearing orange, Xavior’s favorite color.
“We all start to feel helpless and we are just one person and what can we do? But, we learned through Mollie and some other missing cases that awareness is key,” Joy VanLandschoot shared of her willingness to jump in and help search for Xavior.
The reward fund currently sits at $34,268.06.
Anyone with any information related to Xavior’s disappearance should call the Poweshiek County Sheriff’s Office at 641-623-2107.
