OTTUMWA, Iowa (KYOU) - The 35th annual Midwest Ford Show, also referred to as the Midwest Ford Fest will include additional events, not just the car show like a garage tour, cruise inn, and outdoor movies.

Sam Saffell, who is one of the club members, says rare cars will be lined up for the audience.

“Already we have pre-entries from over five states and some really rare cars. We’ve got one coming from Kentucky, it is a 67 Fairlane. There are only 57 of those cars left.”

Saffell says last year’s show had a record number of cars.

“We had 164 cars on the field from about seven states represented.”

He says he’s hopeful with good weather that this year’s turnout will be even bigger.

This event will take place on August 14th and 15th at the Jimmy Jones Shelter in Ottumwa and will kick off around 12:30 P.M. with the garage tour.
