Impact Life hosts blood drive in Bloomfield
BLOOMFIELD, Iowa (KYOU) - Blood drives have impacted you more than you probably realize. Someone you know might have benefited from blood donations.
Tuesday at the Bloomfield Public Library, Impact Life hosted a blood drive. Anyone who wanted to donate could make an appointment and come to donate a unit of blood.
Lindsay Earhardt-Hansen, the Donor Relations Consultant for Impact Life says, “We’re not asking for your money just a little bit of your time and your blood, but it saves lives.”
The message being sent to others who may be thinking of donating is, “Every donation counts,” says Earhardt-Hansen. All it takes is one unit of blood to save three lives.
If you or anyone is thinking of donating, John Whetstine has been a blood donor for 42 years. “It’s not that big of a thing it usually goes pretty good you are in good hands.”
