OTTUMWA, Iowa (KYOU) - A place to feel good is what Christi Post wanted to do for others when she started her business, The French Flower Eclectic Boutique and Salon.

By combining the historic elements of the building with the glitz and glam of the new decor, a welcoming environment for her customers was created Post says. “People love the decore, how it looks, how they feel when they are here.”

Post says women are so busy these days they rarely get to pamper themselves and she wanted to make sure women who walk into her store felt invited. “They just felt good when they were here. Just a good vibe for them.”

There is a salon where people can get haircuts. “Sometimes those thirty minutes in the chair is all they get to relax,” says Post.

Walking into the store one will find a variety of different products. Some items are locally sourced others are made in other parts of Iowa. “It’s just nice to know you are supporting other Iowa families when you come in and shop,” says Post. Inside there are clothes, jewelry, and food. The food consists of candy, fudge, and jams.

You can find more information about the boutique on their Facebook page.
