When it comes to how long your food can be left out on the table before you store it away, Newell says the time is limited; especially for items like pumpkin pie that should be kept cold. He says you want to limit it to four hours or less, preferably two.
Newell says these steps are important to take to keep yourself safe and your family. He also says to work from a safety standpoint.
