OTTUMWA, Iowa (KYOU) - Some extremely quiet weather will be with us over the next several days, along with some rather warm temperatures.

As we turn the calendar from November to December, we’ll turn toward highs in the 60s, with some areas on Thursday possibly nearing the 70-degree mark. The record for Ottumwa on December 2, which is 67 degrees set in 1973, is in jeopardy if our current forecast holds.

By the weekend, we will see a significant temperature drop. However, with how far we were above normal before that cold front, highs in the mid to upper 40s will still be above normal for this time of year.
