Iowa Heartland History Connection preparing its permanent exhibits at its new location

OTTUMWA, Iowa (KYOU) -The Wapello County Historical Society is now known as the Iowa Heartland History Connection.
Staff is getting closer to opening their permanent exhibits in the Spring. But until then, the center will host two temporary exhibits on World War One and Women’s Suffrage.
These will be available from December 9th through the 13th. Hours are 9 am to 4:30 pm on weekdays and 11 am to 3 pm on the weekends.
Along with the Iowa State University Extension Office, the center will be celebrating Iowa’s 175th birthday on December 11th from 11 am to 3 pm.
There will be special exhibits featuring collections from Wapello County along with activities, games, and refreshments.
The center is located off of Highway 149, at 700 Farm Credit Drive in Ottumwa, Iowa.
Admission is free.
