Bloomfield man accused of sexually abusing young teenage girl

BLOOMFIELD, Iowa (KYOU) - Police arrested a Bloomfield, Iowa man following a sexual abuse investigation.
Court records say Matthew Wettstein is accused of sexually abusing a girl from September of 2020 to late September of 2021.
The victim told police Wettstein would show her a handgun and told her not to tell anyone.
He’s charged with sexual abuse.
A special prosecutor has been brought in to handle the case, the Davis County Attorney had to recuse himself due to a conflict of interest.
