Police: Woman charged after kids found living in ‘extreme amount of trash,’ insect infestation
NACOGDOCHES, Texas (KTRE/Gray News) — A Texas woman was arrested after officers reported discovering her three children living in trash and without beds or running water.
Keosha Hubbard-Woodson, 28, has been charged with three counts of endangering a child.
She was arrested Aug. 9 and is being held in the Gregg County Jail without bond.

According to an arrest affidavit, Nacogdoches police officers were called to her home on EJ Campbell Boulevard at 5:25 p.m. to conduct a welfare check.
The conditions in which the children were found included a lack of running water, “an extreme amount of trash,” human or animal feces, rotting food and a significant insect infestation, according to the affidavit. The officers also noted that the children were wearing visibly soiled clothing and were without access to suitable living or sleeping quarters.
The police affidavit states that in addition to the unsafe living conditions, the children had visible signs of medical conditions that were left untreated, including skin conditions and severe stomach pain. Emergency medical services were called to the scene to provide treatment for the children.
Child Protective Services took custody of the children following Hubbard-Woodson’s arrest.
